Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms apply to the Block Beat app and the website block-beat.com (together, the "Service"). By downloading or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. The app is licensed to you through Apple's App Store, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's standard terms differ, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

2. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Block Beat on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the app, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows it.

3. Free to play, nothing to buy

Block Beat is free. It has no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads. If that ever changes, we'll update these terms and tell you in the app before anything is charged.

4. Bits and virtual items

"Bits" and the items you unlock with them (outfits, pad skins, sound kits, clear effects, colorways and so on) exist only inside the game. They have no monetary value, can't be bought with or exchanged for real money, and can't be transferred between players. Because progress is stored on your device, Bits and items can be lost if you delete the app or lose your device. We may rebalance prices, rewards and availability, including seasonal items, to keep the game fair and fun.

5. Challenge links, names and leaderboards

You can share challenge links and appear on Game Center leaderboards and friends leagues. Don't use names or messages that are offensive, harassing, hateful, or that impersonate someone else. Don't try to fake scores or tamper with links. Challenge scores are verified by replaying the moves, and tampered runs are rejected. Game Center is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's terms.

6. Our content

The game, its design, graphics, music engine, characters (including Blip), names and logos belong to Block Beat and its licensors. Fonts used under the SIL Open Font License are credited in the app and on the press page.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features, puzzles or seasonal content at any time. We try to keep the daily puzzle available every day, but we can't promise the Service will always be uninterrupted or error free.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Block Beat won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost progress or data, arising from your use of the Service. Since the Service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Block Beat at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access to online features (like leaderboards) for anyone who breaks these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date above. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new terms.
